We live in New Zealand but come regularly to England and in the autumn ofour lives were looking not just for travel but an opportunity to stretch the grey cells and Swan Hellenic certainly provided that. From the outset not only did we know the full cost of everything, we also could choose our cabin and be informed of the speakers and their topics. On board, we had a very comfortable cabin. While I went off to listen to the speakers, my lazy husband could watch it in the comfort of the cabin. We could choose from a variety of tours, so even if we'd already been somewhere there was an alternative. For the 2 of us St.Petersburg had to be the highlight, especially as our guide managed to get us into the Hermitage early on a Sunday morning before the hordes arrived. We met so many like minded travellers at each siting and were spoilt for choice where and what to eat. Would I go again, you bet, just need a few more dollars.
