Although we had good reports from friends who had been on Minerva 11 we had an open mind as to what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. The only downside initially was the somewhat chaotic arrival at Athens airport. Things improved rapidly when we arrived at the ship. Our cabin was spacious and adequate and the service offered by the crew was of a high standard. There were several food options and the casual seating arrangements enabled us to meet many interesting people. Activities on board were varied including dance and bridge lessons, lectures on the places to be visited, swimming, deck games,a large library and plenty of personal space. The excursions we did were the Acropolis, Topkapi Palace,The Bazaar,Dubrovnik,Valetta,Rome,Lucca,Herculaneum,Marseilles and Barcelona. Entertainment consisted of an opera group, a belly dancer, performances by the crew and two quizes in addition to dancing and background music in the bar.

| Quality of Food | |
| We ate in all the dining rooms and found that whatever we had was most acceptable and enjoyable. The one complaint we had was the standard of coffee and tea which was usually tepid and stewed. | | Entertainment | |
| The performance including the belly dancer was the most enjoyable. The least was the opera singers mainly because of the programmes they performed. | | Shore Excursions | |
| The best was probably Herculaneum with Lucca a close second. The least favourite was Rome because of the poor guide and the vast crowds. | | Staff | |
| There was a high standard of competence and friendliness. This stems from the Captain leading by example. Our cabin steward was very efficient and likeable. | | Children's Facilities | n/a |
